Texakoma has drilled and operated in 8 states across the United States since 1982. In Texas, one of the company’s primary and current concentrated drilling efforts, Texakoma has operated in 10 out of the 12 Railroad Commission Districts across the state. Current exploration is focused in three areas: Panhandle of Texas and Oklahoma (known as the Anadarko Basin), The Texas Gulf Coast in the counties of Matagorda and Brazoria, and the Permian Basin.

New Mexico
Texakoma drilled over 55 producing wells in New Mexico; the most noteworthy are those in the San Juan Basin within the non-traditional reservoir known as the Fruitland Coal. Introducing hydraulic fracturing to the area improved effectiveness of drilling in this area and uncovered unforeseen potential in oil production. Due to the high-production outcomes of drilling practices initiated by Texakoma’s engineering team, this area was purchased by POGO Producing in 2004.
